About Us

     Kay Dylan Restaurants, LLC is a Raising Cane’s Chicken Finger Franchise based in Norman, Oklahoma. It consists of a husband and wife team of Chad and Amanda  Achord who opened their store on 12th and Alameda in Norman on November 10, 2005.   Both Chad and Amanda graduated from Louisiana State University.  Amanda with a B.S. in Marketing and Chad a B.S. in General Studies with minors in Business Management, Speech Communication and Geography.  In January of 2006, Chad and Amanda had their first son, Dylan and later welcomed Carly in July of 2008. Since opening they have had record sales increases and are continuing to build the Raising Cane’s brand in Oklahoma through community support and media.

     The Achord’s did not start out in the restaurant industry.  Chad worked in the Petroleum industry for 6 years managing operations for a small inspection company in Houston, Texas.  Amanda worked as a marketing manager for a real estate developer in Houston and then did national sales for Lamar Advertising in Baton Rouge. Only after being frequent diners at the 2nd Raising Cane’s location which was very close to their home in Baton Rouge, did the Achord’s decide they wanted to become involved with the dynamic concept.  Amanda and Chad started with Raising Cane’s in 2003 and 2004 respectively as Shift Managers and both worked their way up to General Managers of stores in Baton Rouge.  Amanda then went on to work at the Restaurant Support Office in marketing. Chad also was on the new restaurant opening team for several Raising Cane's locations prior to the Norman location. With hard work and determination they both proved that they could be franchisees and were asked by Todd Graves, the founder of Raising Cane’s and the Operations team where they wanted to go.  Having family from Baton Rouge to Houston and Dallas to Cheyenne, Wyoming they decided to situate right in the middle and picked Norman.  They visited Norman (OU’s homecoming weekend 2004), fell in the love with the town, and are now huge OU supporters. 

     The Norman Team consists of:

• Chad Achord - Serves as the company’s CEO and manages the day to day operations of the restaurant
• Amanda Achord - Serves as the company's CMO and handles all community relations 
• Daniel Dukes - Serves as the company's GM and manages the day to day operations of the restaurant
• Shawn Pearce - Shift Manager -worked with Raising Cane's for over 2 years and is a graduate of OU
• Chris Reece - Shift Manager-worked with Raising Cane's for over 6 years and is currently attending OCCC
• Jacob Shockey- Shift Manager- worked with Raising Cane's for over 3 years
• Shilo Lopez - Marketing Assistant- worked with Raising Cane's for over 5 years and is a graduate of OU
